The
basic idea is to create an associative installation, that changes its structure
during the exhibition time.
While we experience for the moment the structural change from the mining industry
to the new technology, this installation can be seen as a monument for the future
change after the completion of the High Tech area.
The
installation remains a model of a coalmine building and is constructed out
of hard disks and power supplies
The Hard disks will be switched on and off controlled by a midi file running
on a control unit.
While a Hard Disk starts to turn, it produces a movement inside the whole structure
with the consequence that the whole building will deconstruct itself and the
structure of the installation will change during the exhibition time.
During
the change the effected people see mostly destruction and ruins. The aim of
this change stays as a vision as long as they stuck in unemployment and money
scarcity.
The installation can not give a general vision or a solution, but can uncover
a process, that has a long tradition on this planet.
